Job Opportunity

At Tony's Fresh Market, we're looking for a skilled Service Deli Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our deli team, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, suggesting products, and assisting with special orders.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and build rapport with customers, providing a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Display a positive attitude through good eye contact and body language, ensuring a great customer experience.
  • Respond to customer questions in a clear and effective manner, providing accurate information and solutions.
  • Stock products and maintain product displays according to merchandising standards, ensuring a visually appealing store environment.
  • Perform basic department cleaning and upkeep, maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
  • Follow safety and sanitation procedures to ensure quality service and products for our customers.
  • Assist customers with their orders for a variety of deli services, including product suggestions and special orders.
  • Must be comfortable working with a slicer and/or sharp objects to execute duties.
  • May perform other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements:

  • Highly organized with a keen sense of details, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily tasks.
  • Great listening and communication skills, enabling effective customer interactions and teamwork.
  • Ability to handle lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting while handling products or using various equipment.
  • Ability to shine in a fast-paced environment, remaining calm and composed under pressure.
  • Must be 18 years or older for the Deli Clerk position.

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store.
  • The work environment is typical of a retail store, with varying noise levels.
  • The Service Deli is cooler than most areas in the store, requiring adaptability and comfort in a cold environment.
  • Minimal sitting is required, with frequent movement and activity.
