Position Overview:

Kokosing Materials Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee and guide electrical installations for large-scale, mission-critical construction initiatives. This role is essential in managing various project phases, ensuring a seamless transition from pre-construction to final acceptance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor multiple teams of Foremen to ensure work is conducted safely, efficiently, and with a strong emphasis on quality.
  • Collaborate with on-site electrical crews and project managers to troubleshoot issues and uphold construction quality in alignment with project timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and contractual obligations regarding electrical activities, supporting the overall construction schedule.
  • Provide technical expertise for electrical construction, including planning, design interpretation, and resolution of design conflicts.
  • Assist in managing project costs and production budgets effectively.
  • Respond proactively to challenges, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills while managing multiple tasks.
  • Promote a culture of safety across all crews, emphasizing a 24/7 safety mindset.
  • Support the Project Manager in updating project schedules and activity codes.
  • Develop short-term schedules for crew activities, ensuring productivity assessments are conducted.
  • Coordinate manpower, equipment, and material requirements for the teams.
  • Manage subcontractor coordination and scheduling.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant field management experience in construction.
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Progressive technical experience from Journeyman to Foreman to Superintendent is essential.
  • Prior experience with IBEW is advantageous.

  • In-depth understanding of safety regulations, company policies, and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Ability to implement innovative management techniques to enhance team performance.
  • Thorough knowledge of industry practices and their implications on project activities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and foster collaboration.
  • Strategic planning capabilities to foresee and mitigate project challenges.
  • Proficient in reading technical drawings and interpreting work specifications.
  • A strong work ethic and commitment to delivering high-quality results as part of a team.
