Child Caregiver Needed in Queens

Bond Health is seeking a trustworthy and nurturing individual to join our team as a Paraprofessional in Queens.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to form a strong bond with a pre-school child, providing them with emotional support and care. You will be responsible for ensuring the child's safety and well-being at all times, while also assisting with their educational and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work one-on-one with the child in the classroom, providing individualized support and care.
  • Accompany the child to various therapy sessions, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy.
  • Respond promptly to any medical emergencies that may arise during the day.
  • Assist with daily activities and tasks as required by the situation and supervisor.

Requirements:

  • A GED or high school diploma is required for this position.
  • Previous experience working as a paraprofessional is highly desirable.
  • Candidates must be trained in the use of an Epi-Pen and comfortable working with medically fragile children in a school environment.
  • Fingerprinting is a mandatory requirement, and candidates will be responsible for paying for this service themselves.
  • A Mandated Reporter certification is also necessary for this role.
  • Candidates will need to provide recent Quantiferon TB test results (within the last year), a pre-employment Physical Exam (within the last year), and titer tests for MMR, TDAP, and Varicella within the last year.
  • A $25 money order must be paid to complete the SCR Form.

Salary and Benefits:

This role offers a competitive hourly rate of $19.00 per hour, along with opportunities for professional growth and development.
