The Duke Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is actively seeking a qualified Obstetrics and Gynecology Generalist to join our expanding network of practices. Our department consists of 12 clinical divisions, featuring over 100 faculty members, 36 residents, and 17 sub-specialty fellows, alongside more than 60 advanced practice providers and 200 medical students and physician assistant program students. As a multidisciplinary academic department, we are dedicated to enhancing women's health through research, education, and clinical care, leading the way in reproductive health innovations.
Our team of obstetricians and gynecologists offers comprehensive reproductive health services to patients across all age groups, from initial gynecological visits to family planning and menopause management. Patients receiving prenatal care at our facilities typically deliver at affiliated hospitals. Our general OB/GYN services encompass both low and high-risk obstetrics, along with referrals and co-management with specialized maternal-fetal medicine as needed. Additionally, we provide a range of gynecologic surgical services, from in-office procedures to both ambulatory and inpatient surgeries.
In addition to general obstetrics and gynecology, our department encompasses all major subspecialties, including Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Urogynecology, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology, Minimally Invasive Surgery, and Women's Community and Population Health.
Candidates must possess an MD/DO degree and have completed an ACGME-accredited OB/GYN residency by the time of hire. Licensure by the North Carolina Medical Board is required prior to the start of employment. The rank, tenure status, and compensation will be aligned with the candidate's training, experience, and capabilities.
