Position Overview

The Travel Cath Lab Technologist plays a crucial role in the cardiac catheterization lab, ensuring high-quality patient care and effective operation of imaging equipment.

Certification Requirements
  • Must possess certifications including CCI Registry, RTR, RCIS, RCES, BLS, and ACLS.
  • BLS certification must be obtained through recognized organizations such as the American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross.
  • Experience with EPIC EMR is preferred.
Job Responsibilities
  • Adhere to the 75-mile straight line radius rule for travel assignments.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the relevant specialty is required.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
  • Successful completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment is necessary.
  • Exhibit proficiency in operating cardiac imaging equipment.
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow team members.
Orientation and Training

Orientation will occur during the first week of the contract, not exceeding 40 hours, and will include EPIC training.

Uniforms

Scrubs will be provided by the facility.

Job Requirements
  • Must hold appropriate credentials and NM state licensing in fields such as RN, Paramedic, Respiratory Therapy, Medical Imaging, or Radiation Therapy.
Schedule Information
  • Work hours consist of 10-hour shifts.
  • On-call duties are required, including backup call.
  • Shifts may vary based on departmental staffing needs.
  • Availability for on-call, weekends, and holidays is necessary.
  • Travelers may be required to float within the facility and to nearby locations.
  • Traveling pairs may not have the same schedules or shifts.
  • Floating to Rust Medical Center & Presbyterian Hospital is expected.
Additional Considerations
  • Travelers must not have been employed by the Presbyterian Healthcare Services system for the past 12 months to be eligible for this position.
  • State tax obligations will be managed through your agency and reflected on your invoice.
  • State tax payments should be directed to the state of New Mexico.
