About the Role

We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our team at AtlantiCare. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic testing, operating complex equipment, and managing patients during diagnostic procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of established departmental procedures and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform diagnostic testing according to established protocols, ensuring the delivery of quality patient care
* Operate diagnostic equipment, including peripheral devices, in a safe and efficient manner to obtain optimal test results
* Manage patients during diagnostic procedures to meet patient care standards
* Maintain supplies and report equipment issues to appropriate staff members

Qualifications

* BLS for Healthcare Providers required
* Licensed by the State of NJ Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) for technologists and licensed in Radiography
* Registered as American Registry of Radiology Technologist for MRI
* Advanced certification from ARRT required within 18 months of passing initial registry or date of training completion
* Graduate of an accredited radiological technologist or MRI school required
* 1-year diagnostic testing experience preferred

Work Environment

This position involves potential exposure to hospital hazards, including infectious disease, blood-borne pathogens, and electromagnetic radiation. The ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds is required.
