About This Job

As a NICU Registered Nurse, you'll work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to provide care for newborns that are either sick or premature. NICU RNs specialize in medical care for newborns at a variety of levels, from intensive, life-saving measures to rehabilitation and nourishment, so you must be well-versed in infant care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care to newborns in the NICU
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, including vital signs and medical equipment
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Document patient progress and communicate with families and healthcare teams
Requirements
  • 1-2 years recent experience in the NICU or a related field
  • Active license or accreditation in one of the 50 US states
  • Additional requirements and certifications as requested by the facility/unit
  • An enthusiastic and adventurous spirit with a desire to help
