Job Title: Addiction Counseling Adjunct Professor

We are seeking a qualified Adjunct Professor to teach courses in Addiction Counseling at Mt. San Antonio College. The successful candidate will have a strong background in addiction counseling and be able to effectively communicate with students.

Job Summary:

This is a temporary, hourly adjunct professor position without permanent status. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching one or more classes each Fall and Spring semester. Possible courses include AD 1, AD 2, AD 3, AD 6, AD 8, and/or AD 82A/B.

Responsibilities:
  1. Teach one or more classes each Fall and Spring semester.
  2. Develop and implement course curriculum.
  3. Assess student learning and provide feedback.
  4. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements:
  1. A bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
  2. Two years of professional experience in addiction counseling.
  3. Commitment to the community college goals and objectives of providing quality programs and services for students with diverse abilities and interests.
  4. Personal qualities to work effectively and sensitively in a multicultural environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Effective communication skills.
  2. Ability to work with diverse populations.
Working Conditions:

The person holding this position is required to be present on Mt. San Antonio College's campus to perform all essential duties and responsibilities.
