Compensation for Housekeeper:
$16.20 / Hourly

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Perform vacuuming of drapes and furniture.
2. Defrost and clean refrigerator/freezer units.
3. Wash windows and change linens.
4. Make beds and sanitize bathrooms.
5. Spot clean carpets and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
6. Adhere to specific instructions provided by residents.
7. Clean hallways, laundry areas, and trash disposal rooms on designated floors.
8. Maintain cleanliness in exercise rooms, office spaces, and restrooms.
9. Conduct cleaning of resident apartments.
10. Attend all staff meetings and departmental training sessions.
11. Respond promptly to housekeeping emergencies.
12. Execute special cleaning tasks for apartment turnovers.
13. Report any hazardous conditions or equipment issues to the supervisor.
14. Wear the designated departmental uniform daily.
15. Ensure all apartments are cleaned according to policy and schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum requirement of a high school diploma or equivalent, or a willingness to learn necessary procedures for the role.
Preferred six months of experience in environmental services, ideally within a healthcare environment.
Ability to interact courteously and tactfully with staff, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and the general public.
This position may require direct care or access to resident property or belongings.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical requirements outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.

Must be capable of regularly lifting 30 pounds and occasionally lifting 50 pounds without assistance, along with the ability to sit, talk, and hear.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The employee holds no responsibility for others but may assist in training new staff members.

SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must be thoroughly familiar with all safety policies and procedures of Episcopal Church Home.

Actively participates in all fire drills during shifts and/or emergencies for internal and external disasters as monitored by the supervisor and incident manager.

Must comply with facility in-service requirements.
