Job Title: Chemical Processor

We are seeking a skilled Chemical Processor to join our team at Envista Holdings Corporation. As a Chemical Processor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our products.

Job Summary:

The Chemical Processor will be responsible for mixing alginate to specifications, training others in department procedures, and meeting the basic qualifications of the job description. This is a hands-on role that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in sieving bulk materials and compounding all other ingredients, according to formula sheet (BOM) instructions.
  • Assist in loading all raw materials into blender and monitoring blending cycles.
  • Learn to operate from fill & seal machine to package finished good products.
  • Assist in the packaging of the finished product according to the (BOM) instructions.
  • Must be able to work well with others in a team environment.
  • Read and comprehend Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), MI's and other required documents.
  • Ensure accuracy and take accountability of finished product by following all process procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety standards on the manufacturing floor.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly environment within the Alginate Department.
  • EHS / IIPP Training as appropriate.
Requirements:
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • 1-2 years of manufacturing/production experience.
  • Experience with completing Oracle Manufacturing transactions or similar system.
  • Forklift Certified.
Abilities:
  • Strong communication in English (Reading, writing, and verbal).
  • Must keep work space and mixing equipment clean and follow safety & production quality policies of their employees.
  • Basic knowledge of measurements and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to move large batches of materials with forklift to replenish ingredient stocks.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and guidelines set forth by Production Manager or Superiors.
  • Ability to meet daily production goals in regards to Safety, Quality, and Productivity.
  • Ability to act independently and make the appropriate decisions with minimal supervision as necessary.
Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time (8 hours per day).
  • Good manual dexterity.
  • Loud production environment if required.
  • Exposure to solvents, oils, lubricants, plastic material fumes, ground glass, flammable & hazardous materials.
