Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care within an outpatient clinic setting
  • Coordinate care planning with other disciplines as appropriate
  • Precept new employees/students as needed
  • Review clinical performance of preceptee with office manager or clinical instructor/supervisor
  • Cooperate with other personnel to achieve department objectives and maintain good employee relations
  • Prepare patients for scheduled procedures and assist in patient assessment
  • Accurately record history and perform basic triage procedures per policy
  • Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and other processes related to direct patient care
  • Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients/families during their visit
  • Monitor and ensure accuracy of recording on patient medical records
  • Ensure an adequate stock of supplies and well-maintained equipment
  • Initiate appropriate patient education
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
  • Implement care appropriate to diagnosis and per physician order
  • Problem solve and coordinate clinic patient care with physician supervision
Requirements
  • Minimum of three (3) years of professional nursing experience
  • Valid Tennessee RN license
  • CPR and OSHA training annually
