Juvenile Corrections Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Correctional Officer to join our team at the ND Youth Correctional Center. As a Correctional Officer, you will play a critical role in providing supervision, security, and assistance to juveniles in attaining cognitive treatment goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise juveniles committed to the care, custody, and control of the ND Division of Juvenile Services.
• Observe and document juvenile behavior patterns, providing reports to the team as needed.
• Conduct observation rounds and maintain accurate counts of juveniles.
• Respond to emergency crisis situations, utilizing contingency plans as necessary.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is preferred, but work experience in treatment programs may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
• Ability to work four 10-hour shifts per week, with a rotating schedule.
