Job Summary:

Railcar repairman sought for a dynamic rail maintenance company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and replacing defective or worn components on railcar equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and repair railcar equipment, including truck assembly, safety appliances, brake systems, wheels, and draft systems
  • Diagnose and identify malfunctions
  • Test and operate engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems

Requirements:

  • Experience with hand tools
  • Previous railcar and/or mechanic experience desired
  • Familiarity with welding a plus
  • Ability to work some weekends and travel out-of-town when needed
