PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
The key role of the Sales Associate IV is to support The Salvation Army in managing the operations of the Thrift Store for the Reno Adult Rehabilitation Program. This position encompasses a broad range of responsibilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform tasks as directed by the Store Manager or Assistant Manager, including restocking, cleaning, sorting merchandise, operating the cash register, and completing daily reports.
- Foster positive customer interactions. Provide prompt and courteous assistance to all patrons.
- Answer phone calls in a professional manner and direct inquiries to the appropriate personnel or department.
- Ensure the store maintains a clean and organized appearance.
- Conduct janitorial tasks such as window cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, and sweeping as assigned by management.
- Execute any additional duties as required by the supervisor.
- Ability to handle cash transactions, make change, and operate the cash register effectively.
- Capable of following instructions with minimal supervision.
- Preferred knowledge of merchandise.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
- Previous experience in retail is advantageous.
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
- Ability to grasp, push, and/or pull objects.
- Ability to reach overhead.
- Ability to operate a telephone.
- Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds on a non-continuous basis.
- Ability to process written, visual, and/or verbal information.
