Pharmacy Technician

As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and service to our customers. You will assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, perform various tasks, and maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment.

• Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications
• Process prescriptions, including retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs
• Verify medication accuracy and check for possible interactions
• Provide excellent customer service and interact with patients and customers in a professional and courteous manner
• Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment, including restocking shelves and disposing of waste
• Assist with inventory management, including ordering and unpacking shipments of pharmaceuticals
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager or Staff Pharmacist

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment
• Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens
• Prefer good math skills and computer skills
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control and PTCB certification
