Job Description

Job Summary


As a Design Consultant at Havertys, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the customer experience by providing exceptional design services. You will work closely with Sales Consultants to ensure seamless transactions and deliver top-notch customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities


Some of your primary duties will include:



  • Visiting customers' homes to assess their needs and provide expert design advice.
  • Collaborating with Sales Consultants to create personalized room designs that meet customers' expectations.
  • Utilizing RoomPlanner software to create accurate floor plans and presentation boards.
  • Providing detailed recaps to Sales Consultants and Management after each home visit.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest furniture styles, products, and sales promotions.
  • Assisting with the creation of special-order SKUs and sales reserves.
  • Maintaining knowledge of Havertys' policies, procedures, and product offerings.

Requirements


To succeed in this role, you will need:



  • A Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • ASID certification preferred.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
