Logistics Associate Primary Responsibilities:
- Operate a propane forklift or a truck-mounted forklift (training provided).
- Load and unload storage containers onto and off truck beds for delivery.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
- Assist customers, including selling support items and utilizing online dispatch and rental systems.
- Conduct inspections of U-Box containers prior to dispatch and upon return.
- Prepare, receive, and manage documentation for the delivery or pickup of goods.
- Maintain cleanliness and security of the warehouse storage facility.
- Engage in ongoing training and education through U-Haul University.
Logistics Associate Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Comply with all local, state, and federal vehicular regulations while driving.
Work Environment:
The role involves moderate risks or discomforts that require special safety precautions, such as working around moving parts, machinery, fumes, or irritant chemicals. Protective clothing or gear may be necessary.
Physical Demands:
This position requires physical exertion, including long periods of standing both indoors and outdoors, moving to reach and use tools, and lifting a minimum of 50 lbs, with or without assistance.
