About the Role:

The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist Lead will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the pharmacy department at Children's Hospital Medical Center of Akron. This includes managing pharmacists, technicians, and students, as well as developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure optimal patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure optimal patient care
  • Manages pharmacists, technicians, and students
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards
  • Participates in quality improvement initiatives and projects
  • Maintains knowledge and stays up-to-date with the latest developments in pediatric pharmacy practice
Requirements:

This role requires a Doctor of Pharmacy degree or BS pharmacy degree with extensive pediatric experience, a current license by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy, and certification as a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) or Board Certified Pediatric Pharmacy Specialist (BCPPS). Prior leadership experience is preferred.

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $140,000 - $170,000, depending on experience.
