Job Summary

This position is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment in the warehouse and facility. The successful candidate will perform various sanitation and housekeeping tasks, including cleaning, sweeping, and mopping floors, as well as maintaining the overall appearance of the facility.

Responsibilities
  • Perform all custodial duties throughout the facility, including dusting, washing, and wiping down surfaces.
  • Maintain sanitary conditions in the facility, including collection and disposal of trash and debris.
  • Clean cooler and cooler floor, as well as sweep and mop coolers, dry warehouse, and equipment mezzanine.
  • Scrub floors in aisle areas of the dry warehouse, cooler areas, and docks.
  • Preserve floor care using power equipment in assigned areas.
  • Maintain parking lots and front sidewalks on a regular basis.
  • Remove trash or other property damaging elements.
  • Complete daily sanitation log to provide documentation for planning and evaluation of sanitation activities.
  • Support the stretch wrap and cardboard recycling program.
  • Dust and vacuum warehouse racks.
  • Remove cobwebs from the warehouse area on an ongoing basis.
  • Clean restrooms, including urinals, toilets, sinks, counters, and mirrors.
  • Work effectively with immediate supervisor to minimize warehouse shrink.
  • Responsible for the neatness and cleanliness of assigned work areas and travel aisles.
  • Maintain the accuracy of warehouse product locations when performing slot cleaning.
  • Report any unfixable or unsafe issues to the supervisor.
  • Observe and enforce all safety rules to reduce accidents and injuries.
  • Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and orderly manner.
  • Ensure that material handling equipment is maintained and clean.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1-year warehouse-related experience and/or training.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must work independently with minimal supervision and have strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a varying schedule, including shift work, weekdays, and weekends. The job is primarily performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to fast-moving material handling equipment, freezer/cooler warehouse environments, and other conditions.
