Position Overview:

This role involves delivering short-term therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and groups. Responsibilities include conducting initial evaluations, intake sessions, and crisis interventions, along with providing referrals and connecting clients to community resources as necessary. The position also entails supervising and mentoring doctoral interns or practicum students. Collaboration with students, faculty, and staff on mental health matters is essential. Participation in outreach initiatives to the university community and additional tasks as assigned by the Executive Director of Student Wellbeing is expected. Some after-hours and weekend availability may be required. This position reports directly to the Associate Director of Lafene CAPS.

Work Environment:

This position is required to be performed on-site. Work will take place at the employer's premises or designated assignment location.

Qualifications for Success:

Essential Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited institution.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least one year of relevant experience in a college or university counseling center.
  • Experience or interest in serving historically underrepresented college students.
  • Ability to provide psychotherapy in a language other than English.
  • Licensed as a psychologist.
Additional Requirements:
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.

Compensation:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $75,000 to $82,000.
