Job Overview

Speridian Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Lead to join our team. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and maintenance of software applications and products that support business applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise to design, develop, and maintain software applications and products that support business applications.
  • Lead the day-to-day functional tasks in the team, provide developer support, and maintain the development environment.
  • Use tools, languages, coding standards, and best practices to develop new product features and maintain year-over-year product functionality and enhancements.
  • Work closely with the QA, UX, and other related teams to ensure consistent understanding of requirements and approach.
  • Assist in planning and implementation of a strategic direction for the product.
  • Design, develop, and maintain complex software components.
  • Create and maintain documentation of design approaches.
  • Create and maintain documentation on internal architecture of the system. Lead architectural changes in the system.
  • Identify product design features to support scalability, usability, and better performance.
  • Assist and drive technical design and code reviews for all new enhancements and maintenance work delivered by the development team.
  • Understand complex business and functional requirements and produce technical specifications and product requirements.
  • Establish best practices in coding and development within the team. Ensure consistency of the use of best practices within the team.
  • Design and develop reusable code components. Positively and proactively lead and influence the team.
  • Provide advice and guidance to associate, senior, and software engineer roles in the effective use of coding principles and best practices. Develop reusable code components.
  • Create, maintain, and execute unit test and alpha test plans.
  • Maintain development environment and create build.
  • Maintain and improve current knowledge on the latest technologies relevant to the role regarding algorithms, language, design methodology, third-party development tools, application platforms, hardware compatibility, and operating systems.
  • Mentor and coach other team members on the latest technological advances within the current technology used. Lead by example.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience.
