A Day in the Life of a Registered Nurse (RN)

As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in conducting patient visits to assess their nursing needs. You will be responsible for making initial evaluations, developing care plans, and providing ongoing comprehensive assessments. Your specialized nursing skills will enable you to provide necessary services and treatments, while educating patients and caregivers on disease processes, self-care techniques, and prevention strategies.

You will also initiate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures as ordered by physicians, prepare clinical and progress notes, and coordinate relevant services. Effective communication with physicians and other staff members is crucial to ensure all necessary parties are informed about patient conditions and needs.

Qualifications for a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing
  • Active RN license in the state of Oklahoma
  • 1+ years of nursing experience
  • CPR certification or the ability to obtain one within 60 days of being hired
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance
  • Ability to travel long distances and adapt to frequently changing schedules

Experience with home health care, critical care, or emergency room settings is preferred, but multiple factors will be considered. If you possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, remain calm in stressful situations, and can balance multiple tasks while demonstrating good time management, you may be an ideal candidate for this position.
