Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Night Auditor to join our team at The Sebastian Vail. As a Night Auditor, you will be responsible for overseeing the nightly operations of our hotel and ensuring that financial transactions are accurately recorded.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Nightly Audit Procedures: Reconcile daily hotel transactions, including room revenue, guest accounts, and cash drawer balances.
  • Verify Guest Accounts: Ensure the accuracy of guest accounts, charges, and credits, resolving any discrepancies as needed.
  • Prepare Financial Reports: Prepare and distribute daily financial reports, including the Night Audit report, to management and other departments.
  • Handle Guest Inquiries: Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner, striving to exceed guest expectations.
  • Assist with Check-In and Check-Out: Assist with the check-in and check-out process for guests arriving or departing during the overnight shift.
  • Process Late-Night Arrivals and Departures: Ensure accurate room assignments and billing information for late-night arrivals and departures.
  • Perform Security Checks: Perform routine security checks of hotel premises to ensure guest safety and security.
  • Complete Administrative Tasks: Complete administrative tasks, including filing paperwork, updating guest records, and maintaining cleanliness of the front desk area.
Requirements
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Computer Proficiency: Proficiency in computer software and systems, including hotel management systems.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Independence: Ability to work independently and efficiently during overnight shifts.
