Oncology Travel Nurse Position

Tact Staff is seeking a Travel Nurse RN specializing in Oncology for an exciting travel nursing opportunity. This role is located in a dynamic healthcare environment where you will play a crucial part in patient care.

The Oncology Infusion RN will be an integral member of the cancer care team, primarily working in the infusion area. Candidates must possess a minimum of 2 years of chemotherapy administration experience and familiarity with EPIC systems. This position requires a day shift commitment, Monday through Friday, and candidates must hold the ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration Certification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patient health histories.
  • Implement physician orders and perform in-office procedures.
  • Provide education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans.
  • Administer chemotherapy and manage cancer-related symptoms.
  • Monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being through regular evaluations.
  • Serve as the primary communication link between patients and healthcare providers.
  • Deliver direct nursing care and triage patient needs as necessary.

The oncology registered nurse will utilize clinical expertise, judgment, and decision-making skills to address patient care challenges effectively. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Cancer Care Director or Physician Services Senior Executive.
