Job Summary

This role is responsible for providing hands-on care and support to residents, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing resident needs and providing exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide physical and emotional support to residents, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Observe and report changes in resident condition, including skin, behavior, and physical health.
  • Respond promptly to resident call bells and security system alerts.
  • Assist with continence management and maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Prepare and serve meals, and assist with feeding as needed.
  • Maintain resident rooms and work areas, adhering to cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Participate in activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Engage residents in life skills and enrichment activities, promoting socialization and mental stimulation.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff, providing updates and information as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; experience working with seniors preferred.
  • Certifications in CPR, First Aid, and LLAM (Long-Term Care Administrator) a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, with a focus on resident-centered care.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a commitment to resident safety and well-being.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing resident needs and providing exceptional care.
