Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Bilingual Nutritionist to join our team as an Extra Help Nutritionist in the Department of Health Services. As a Nutritionist, you will play a vital role in determining program eligibility and delivering comprehensive nutrition assessments and care plans to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine WIC program eligibility and conduct thorough nutrition assessments
  • Develop personalized care plans utilizing the Web Information System Exchange (WIC-WISE) database
  • Implement nutrition and breastfeeding education sessions, using Participant Centered Education (PCE) principles and techniques
  • Offer referrals to other health-related programs and social services as needed
  • Maintain accurate participant records and documentation
  • Stay informed on the latest nutrition research and best practices
Requirements
  • Current registration as a Registered Dietitian or Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • Knowledge of the nutritional needs of pregnant and postpartum people, infants, and children
  • Experience utilizing motivational interviewing and counseling skills
  • Familiarity with WIC program regulations and guidelines
  • Effective presentation and communication skills
  • A passion for nutrition and helping others
