Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Recreation Assistant to join our team at the City of Whitefish, MT. As a Recreation Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality recreation programs and services to our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of recreation programs and activities for children and adults.
  • Provide direct supervision to children and youth in a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with program participants, parents, and community members.
  • Assist with the maintenance of program equipment and facilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Recreation Programmer.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years of experience coaching youth sports and/or facilitating youth sports camps preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with children and youth in a positive and supportive manner.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
