Senior Scrum Master Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master to lead agile development teams in the successful implementation and continuous improvement of the Scrum framework. As a Senior Scrum Master, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products and services.

Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate and lead all Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Coach and mentor agile development teams on Scrum principles, practices, and methodologies.
  • Foster a collaborative and self-organizing team culture focused on delivering value to customers.
  • Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and other teams to prioritize and manage the product backlog effectively.
  • Identify and remove any impediments or obstacles that may hinder the team's progress.
  • Track and analyze relevant metrics to monitor team performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team and across the organization.
  • Serve as a servant-leader for the team, promoting transparency, trust, and open communication.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on the team's progress and achievements.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification required; Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) or other advanced certifications preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience as a Scrum Master, with a proven track record of successfully leading agile development teams.
  • Strong understanding of agile principles, practices, and methodologies, with experience implementing the Scrum framework in complex environments.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with team members, stakeholders, and management.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to identify and address issues proactively.
  • Experience working with agile project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or Rally.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to change.
  • Continuous learner with a passion for personal and professional growth.
