As a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) at Kaiser Permanente's Modesto Medical Center, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to a dynamic healthcare community. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with our anesthesia team in a wide range of clinical settings, including the Operating Room, Obstetrics, and Anesthesia Suite.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough anesthetic evaluations of patients prior to surgical procedures, deliveries, or other medical procedures, consulting with anesthesiologists and/or surgeons as needed.
- Review patients' charts, including pre-operative medications, lab work, and any other significant variations, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Administer selected anesthetics, choosing the most appropriate option based on patient safety, surgical needs, and potential post-operative complications.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and physical changes, informing anesthesiologists and/or surgeons of any significant developments and taking necessary remedial action.
- Keep accurate and complete records of procedures performed and patients' conditions, adhering to established standards.
- Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program and an accredited school of anesthesia.
- Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) in California.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
- Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment and demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
