Job Summary

We're seeking a reliable and caring Home Care Assistant to join our team. As a Home Care Assistant, you'll provide companionship, support, and care to elderly and disabled individuals in their homes. Your role will involve assisting with daily living activities, such as bathing, toileting, and personal care, as well as engaging in activities like reading, playing games, and conversation.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, toileting, and personal care
  • Engage in activities such as reading, playing games, and conversation
  • Assist with light cleaning and household tasks
  • Offer assistance with meal preparation and medication reminders
  • Provide transportation for errands and grocery shopping
  • Provide stable and consistent companionship on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis
  • Monitor the health and well-being of clients and report any concerns to the appropriate parties
Requirements
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) experience preferred, but not necessary for all applicants/clients
  • Valid driver's license and automobile insurance
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Strong, consistent, and reliable communication with clients and scheduling staff
  • Passionate about helping others have a high quality of life
  • Prompt and punctual
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including active listening, empathy, conflict resolution, positivity, nonverbal communication, and patience
  • Experience working with elderly or disabled individuals preferred, but not required

**All candidates must complete a background check before being hired.

This is a CONTRACTOR 1099 position with a starting pay of $16.50 per hour. Expected hours are minimum 2 hours to 40 hours a week, depending on the clients assigned. Must live in the Richfield area and be willing to work in clients' homes.
