Job Overview

Our Home is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler/Forklift Driver to contribute to our manufacturing operations on the 3rd shift. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the effective storage, movement, and preparation of finished products for distribution.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Warehouse team in achieving safety, training, quality, production, and cost objectives.
  • Conduct counting, verification, rotation, and storage of raw materials.
  • Ensure proper segregation of raw materials, maintaining standards for organic and allergenic items.
  • Organize stock in designated locations according to established protocols.
  • Implement FEFO (First Expired, First Out) practices during goods transfer and shipment preparation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including sweeping and mopping as necessary.
  • Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Uphold the highest standards of safety and sanitation.
  • Supply production lines with necessary raw materials as required.
  • Load and unload trucks, interpreting reports and work orders effectively.
  • Follow safety protocols for forklift charging and maintenance.
  • Inspect incoming shipments for damage and follow appropriate claim procedures.
  • Report any issues related to raw materials, including expiration or contamination.
  • Wrap finished product pallets and prepare them for transport.
  • Pick products for shipment and accurately record lot numbers.
  • Communicate any discrepancies in lot numbers or quantities.
  • Report equipment issues, including those related to forklifts and other machinery.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a warehouse setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with RF Scanners.
  • Forklift certification is mandatory.
  • Food Handler Certificate is required.
  • Basic math skills and record-keeping abilities.
  • Proficient in computer usage.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently while being a team player.
  • Physical capability to lift between 50 to 100 lbs.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Compliance with GMP-related personal protective equipment requirements.
  • Able to work in varying temperature conditions.
