Requirements
  • Active North Carolina RN License
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
  • Proficient in EKG interpretation
  • Associate degree in Nursing
  • Current BCLS and ACLS certifications
  • Preferred: Experience with patient admissions and discharges, basic cardiac drip knowledge, and a BSN degree
  • Familiarity with Meditech software
Patient Care Details
  • Common Diagnoses: Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Chest Pain (CP), Acute Respiratory Failure (ARF), Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Uncontrolled Diabetes, Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), Post Cardiac Catheterization Care
  • Patient Ratios: 5:1 or 6:1
  • Equipment Used: Welch Allyn Vital Signs machine, Hoyer Lift with weight scale, Abbott Glucometer, Computers on Wheels, TR band, Baxter IV pumps
  • Floating: May be required
  • Travel Requirement: Must be located 60 miles or more from the facility
