Janitorial Technician Job Overview

The Janitorial Technician role at EVERGREEN encompasses a variety of cleaning responsibilities at the assigned facility. This includes thorough sanitation of restrooms, offices, dining areas, retail spaces, and other designated locations. Duties may involve polishing, scrubbing, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and utilizing machinery such as floor scrubbers, extractors, and polishers.

Performance Expectations:
  • Comply with instructions from the Lead Custodian or Crew Lead Supervisor
  • Utilize floor care equipment for diverse cleaning operations
  • Follow safety protocols and organizational policies
  • Wear the designated uniform
  • Execute cleaning tasks as per schedule and client requests
  • Participate in training sessions and safety briefings
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
  • Physically capable of lifting heavy items
  • Perform repetitive tasks consistently
  • Operate power cleaning tools
  • Work independently and manage stress effectively
  • Regular attendance and potential local travel may be necessary
  • May need to access client facilities that require background checks
Qualifications:

A high school diploma is preferred, along with 1-2 years of experience in a custodial role.
