Leonardo DRS Naval Power Systems, INC is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Assembler specializing in bench work to join our team.
Key Responsibilities- Produce high-quality work to prescribed standards, with a focus on continuous improvement to meet customer commitments on schedule and within budget.
- Follow written work instructions and maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety procedures.
- Participate in LEAN Events, 'Six S' activities, action teams, and perform advanced-level assembly functions, including prep, mechanical, harness, cable, printed circuit board sub-assemblies, spray application, and inspection.
- Perform soldering and installation of components to contract specifications, using a wide range of tools and equipment.
- Interpret blueprints, Process Flow Instructions, and other written or verbal instructions.
- Be trained across all assembly stages, work with Engineering to build 1st articles by interpreting print/specification with no process provided, and the ability to interpret/assemble all units in dept.
- Perform all aspects of inspection: in-process, final, and source; allocate partial points.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 5 years of mechanical experience.
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Experience with wiring and crimping to precise specifications.
- Candidates must be a US citizen and meet DRS security standards as imposed by DoD, including the issuance of any necessary security clearance by the US government within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
