Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Aide to join our team at Westhab Inc. The successful candidate will provide essential support services to clients, ensuring their basic needs are met and promoting a safe and healthy living environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Intake and Orientation: Complete thorough intakes for new clients, providing a comprehensive orientation to the facility and its rules and regulations.
  • Meal Service and Hygiene: Serve meals and snacks to clients during designated meal times, ensuring a clean and organized dining area.
  • Area Inspections and Monitoring: Conduct regular area inspections to ensure clients adhere to shelter rules, maintaining a safe and respectful environment.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Accurately document and track client information, including lockers, client property, and essential documentation.
  • Support Services: Assist clients with daily living skills, cleaning, laundry, hygiene, and other essential tasks.
  • Laundry and Linen Management: Launder and fold agency towels, washcloths, and shelter linens, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the social services team to monitor and provide appropriate basic services to clients.
  • Incident Response: Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients and staff.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative duties, including answering phones, maintaining logbooks, and performing other tasks as directed by management.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associates Degree preferred.
  • Experience: 1-year experience working with homeless or special needs populations.
  • Certifications: Food Handlers Certification required.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, knowledge of DHS requirements and protocols.
