CULINARY SPECIALIST - Full-Time


Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of young individuals while being part of a dedicated team? Our Adolescent Residential Treatment Center is seeking a talented Culinary Specialist. This program supports adolescents facing challenges such as school refusal, anxiety, depression, substance misuse, suicidal thoughts, and various mental health concerns.

In this position, you will be responsible for crafting nutritious and appealing meals for the students and staff, as well as for special occasions like family days and tours.

The Culinary Specialist reports directly to the Head Chef.



Key Responsibilities:
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Expertise in various cooking methods
  • Understanding of health regulations and sanitation practices
  • Knowledge of fundamental nutrition
  • Proficiency in preparing a diverse range of dishes
  • Skill in food presentation and aesthetics
  • Capability to accommodate special dietary requirements of the students
  • Ability to manage within a specified budget

Qualifications:
Education and Experience

  • Preferred two years of culinary experience
  • Current Food Handler's Certification
  • Formal culinary training is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED
  • Must successfully pass a federal background check, fingerprinting, and drug screening
