Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate MRI equipment and perform diagnostic imaging procedures to produce high-quality images for medical professionals to interpret.
  • Collaborate with physicians to perform specialized procedures, ensuring accurate and efficient imaging results.
  • Set up and adjust equipment for procedures, ensuring optimal performance and patient safety.
  • Position patients for image capturing, ensuring comfort and minimizing stress.
  • Monitor patient comfort and safety during procedures, recognizing and handling emergent situations promptly.
  • Assist in other areas and shifts as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.

Requirements:

  • Formal radiologic technology training, with a focus on MRI modalities.
  • MRI certification by a recognized professional organization, with a specific deadline for completion.
  • CPR certification, ensuring the ability to respond to medical emergencies.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in MRI imaging, with a strong understanding of imaging anatomical structures.
  • Knowledge of imaging protocols and procedures, with the ability to adapt to changing situations.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment, with a focus on patient safety and comfort.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • General computer skills, with the ability to navigate imaging software and systems.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently, with a focus on efficiency and productivity.
