POSITION SUMMARY Residential Treatment Social Worker

POSITION DUTIES
  • Under direction, ensure that the activities of this position and relevant programs are consistent with the mission, vision and values of AMN Healthcare.
  • Conduct a diagnosis or needs assessment on referred clients. Write, revise and advocate for successful treatment plans with Managed Care Organizations to obtain authorization for treatment.
  • Able to work in men's or women's residential treatment programs.
  • Meet the productivity standard in the provision of direct client services, such as individual and group services. Plan, implement and evaluate services with the participation of persons served and their families.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor assigned clients' treatment plans and may communicate with other qualified mental health or alcohol and other drug providers, administrative, and referring agency staff regarding the progress of assigned clients.
  • Hold a reasonably sized caseload.
  • Provide referrals to other services as required or necessary.
  • Assist and support clients served in crisis situations as needed or deliver appropriate crisis intervention and safety planning services.
  • Willingness to act as supervisor to student interns. Maintain fidelity to program and treatment model rules.
  • When appropriate, assist family of clients in strengthening communication skills access appropriate physical and mental health care and chemical dependency resources as needed access transportation needs and provide opportunities to build social skills.
  • Collaborate and coordinate services with other involved professionals including psychiatry, primary care physicians, probation, and community mental health providers. May monitor psychiatric symptoms of clients as appropriate.
  • Attend and participate in meetings, supervision, and in-service trainings regarding specific areas of responsibility.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Combination of education and experience normally represented by a Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology or related fields with 3-5 years of related experience. Required.
  • Must have LISW, LPCC, LICDC or IMFT. Required.
  • Must be Bilingual (Spanish/English Only).
  • Maintain current certification in First Aid and CPR, as needed per program requirements. Required.
  • Must have strong understanding of addiction and mental illness. Must be able to form effective working and therapeutic relationships.
  • Must be able to effectively and productively work with people of very diverse economic, cultural and administrative backgrounds including those with criminal justice involvement.
  • Must be knowledgeable and responsive to cultural diversity issues presented in the coordination of services.
  • Good working knowledge of computers with familiarity of Microsoft Office software. EMR: Avatar.
