Job SummaryUnder the supervision of the Unit Manager/ADON/DON, the Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of residents/patients for a shift of duty. The RN provides nursing care through assessment, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care, adhering to the standards of care for the area and managing the environment to maintain resident/patient safety.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality nursing care to residents/patients, including assessment, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care
- Supervise nursing assistants and helpers to ensure effective care delivery
- Manage the environment to maintain resident/patient safety and adhere to standards of care
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care
- Meet all health requirements imposed by law and maintain current CPR certification
- Licensed in the State as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Current CPR certification
- Able to use necessary supplies and equipment
- Able to calculate drug dosage
- Meets all health requirements imposed by law
- Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other center staff
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Demonstrated basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications
