We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist I to join our team at UMass Memorial Health. As a Radiation Therapist I, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Radiation Oncology department.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, prepare, and deliver prescribed radiation treatments to patients, ensuring accurate and safe delivery of therapy.
- Administer radiation therapy treatments, observing radiation safety measures and maintaining a safe environment for patients and personnel.
- Monitor patients and equipment during treatment, maintaining accurate records and reporting any unusual reactions or equipment issues to supervisors.
- Assist in the simulation of patients prior to radiation treatments, working closely with Radiation Oncologists and Physicists to ensure accurate treatment plans.
- Maintain departmental records, updating patient charts and scheduling appointments as needed.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy.
- Valid Massachusetts license in Radiation Therapy.
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge, effective verbal and written communication skills, and excellent customer service skills.
