Hospitalist Physician Assistant

Alice Hyde Medical Center, a leading healthcare provider in Malone, New York, is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dynamic Hospitalist team.
Job Summary:We are looking for a qualified and licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work in a Per Diem capacity, assisting and supplementing our Hospitalist Physician staff. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess, diagnose, and treat patients, working closely with the Hospitalist Physician team.
- Respond promptly to calls from the nursing staff, effectively managing changes in patient conditions.
- Order and interpret tests and images, and prescribe medications as needed.
- Prepare patient discharges, including writing prescriptions, discharge summaries, arranging follow-up appointments, and educating patients and their families.
- Maintain a high standard of patient care, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in the Emergency Department.
- Qualified and licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Experience in a Hospitalist setting is preferred.
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to assess and manage patient care independently.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with medical staff and patient education.
