Volkert is seeking a skilled CADD Technician to join our team in Shreveport, LA. As a CADD Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our engineers in creating high-quality designs for civil projects.

• Prepare engineering drawings using CAD software, applying theoretical and practical design knowledge to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Assist engineers in creating bridge detail plans and performing minor design work on bridge projects using MicroStation.
• Contribute to project production sheets by adding dimensions and laying out plans, title, and detail sheets on production sets of plans.
• Research applicable design codes and guidelines to ensure design compliance.
• Perform quality control reviews of design plans and calculations.

• Associate degree from a technical or four-year school.
• 1-10 years of prior experience with structural and/or roadway drafting.
• Familiarity with GEOPAK or other geometry software.
• Experience in Autodesk Civil 3D is preferred.
