Radiology Technician Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technician to join our team at Nitelines USA, Inc. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in radiologic procedures and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine radiologic procedures, including X-rays and mammograms, for the inmate population at our institution.
  • Transmit and retrieve X-ray images and reports electronically, and scan reports into the Bureau Electronic Medical Record (BEMR).
  • Receive training to retrieve radiographic consults from BEMR and schedule them to perform all radiographic procedures.
  • Work with an inmate population from diverse cultural, racial, religious, and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Evaluate radiographic equipment for calibrations and repairs.
  • Assess and select technical exposure factors and positions necessary to obtain a proper quality diagnostic exam.
  • Notify Radiologist or referring Physician of any preliminary abnormalities seen during an exam.
  • Coordinate transfer of patient radiologic records to ensure continuity of care.
  • Act as liaison between radiologist and medical staff.
  • Develop a working knowledge of local medical protocols.
  • Wear outer protective clothing and obey Center for Disease Control universal precautions at all times.
Requirements:
  • US CITIZEN
  • (ARRT) Fully licensed to perform radiological procedures by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist by the state of California, and possess diagnostic radiology, and mammographic radiologic technician credentials within the license.
  • Must have at least one year of experience.
  • Able to pass a background clearance.
  • Hold a current Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certified, in accordance with the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Must provide evidentiary documentation of your graduation from an accredited school of radiology technology.
