Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR Generalist to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions, including recruiting, payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the payroll function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Administer benefits programs, such as life, health, and dental insurance, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
  • Handle employee relations, including managing complex and difficult employee relations cases, providing advice and guidance on disciplinary matters, and resolving grievances.
  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, and maintaining records.
  • Coordinate training and development initiatives to enhance employee performance and retention.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to meet organizational needs and comply with state and federal laws.
  • Conduct recruitment efforts for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, conduct new-employee orientations, and oversee exit interviewing processes.
  • Maintain a positive work environment by resolving conflicts and fostering a collaborative culture.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' progressive Recruiting and Human Resources experience, preferably in the Manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience in managing payroll and benefits administration.
  • Proficient in HRIS and payroll software.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification is a plus.
