Job Summary:

Fortis Health is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in providing high-quality home health care services to our patients. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain their independence and improve their overall health and well-being.

Responsibilities:

Implement occupational therapy services in accordance with physicians' plans of treatment.
Assist physicians in evaluating and assessing clients' levels of functioning by applying appropriate tests and assisting in the development and revision of plans of care.
Treat clients through the use of therapeutic activities designed to restore function and self-care activities for improving function.
Observe, record, and report clients' reactions to treatment and any changes in their conditions to physicians, Directors of Nurses, and Case Managers.

Qualifications:

Is a graduate of an Occupational Therapy curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association, Inc. (AOTA), or successor organizations of ACOTE; and has successfully completed the entry-level certification examination for occupational therapists developed and administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. (NBCOT), or On or before January 1, Graduated after successful completion of an occupational therapy program accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association (If licensed or registered prior to 1978, meets the alternative qualifications cited in the Medicare Conditions of Participation, Section
Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in this Agency's practicing State.
Minimum of one year experience as an occupational therapist.
