Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team at Carlson Animal Hospital. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support veterinarians in ensuring quality veterinary care and advocating for pets
  • Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with state Veterinary Practice Act
  • Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments
  • Maintain relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems
  • Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts
  • Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs
Requirements
  • Veterinary technician experience required
  • 1-2 years of clinical experience
  • Team player
  • Must have flexible schedule including weekends and evenings
  • Provide great customer service
  • Credentialed Technician preferred, not required
