Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Behavioral Health Nurse to join our team at Psychosocial Therapies. In this role, you will work closely with a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to deliver comprehensive mental health services to residents in long-term care facilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Address the behavioral and physical health needs of clients receiving treatment for psychiatric symptoms.
  • Perform regular health screenings and monitor vital signs.
  • Administer medications as prescribed by medical professionals and monitor their effects.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions and counseling to residents to promote mental well-being.
  • Collaborate with the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
  • Educate residents, families, and staff about mental health conditions and treatments.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient care.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Ohio.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in behavioral health or psychiatric nursing.
  • Strong understanding of mental health disorders and treatments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
