Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team at Ryder. As a Diesel Mechanic Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of heavy-duty trucks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on diesel engines, including oil changes, brake and tire work
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel engines, including AC, electrical systems, and advanced skilled level repairs
  • Work independently and as part of a team to complete repair orders and meet customer satisfaction goals
  • Interact with customers to facilitate preventative maintenance, repair issue resolution, and discuss new repair estimates
  • Coordinate work schedule as required by customers and ensure quality of repair work performed
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred
  • Three years or more relevant work experience, preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A, preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
