Job Summary

The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking a part-time Program Educator to join the Office of Student Conduct. This role plays a critical part in the operations of the office by providing educational programming and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement educational programs for students found responsible for violating university policies, including the Brief Alcohol Screening Intervention for College Students (BASICS), the Cannabis Screening Intervention for College Students (CASICS), the Student High Risk Intervention for First-Time Alcohol Violations (SHIFT), and the Decision-making and Accountability Workshop.
  • Provide feedback to the Assistant Dean of Student Conduct and the Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor regarding student participants' needs for additional services.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of activities to gather data related to the implementation of all interventions.
  • Support the Administrative Assistant III in opening and closing case files, as well as front desk and phone coverage as needed.
Requirements
  • Graduate student in good academic standing.
  • Maintain the security of sensitive and/or confidential information.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage time and work independently.
  • Presentation of oneself professionally when interacting with others.
  • Ability to follow and apply written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to manage multiple duties, projects, and assignments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Candidates with a background in working effectively with young adults from diverse backgrounds and experiences are encouraged to apply.
Working Conditions

The office operates Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm, and hours shall occur during this timeframe.

Compensation

$22.00 per hour.
