Summary:

Huntington Bancshares Inc. is in search of a Senior Corporate Treasury Liquidity Analyst to enhance the Funding Desk's capabilities. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in effective liquidity oversight and funding strategy execution, engaging with various market dynamics. This position demands frequent collaboration with upper management and necessitates a keen eye for detail along with excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the management of the institution's Federal Reserve intraday and closing cash positions while optimizing discount window borrowing capabilities and the bank's net debit cap.
  • Oversee and enhance external funding avenues, including but not limited to, Fed Funds, Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB), and Brokered Deposits. This includes liaising with external broker-dealers and executing on current funding sources, as well as assessing potential new funding options.
  • Project the bank's funding requirements, focusing on short-term forecasts.
  • Track daily balance sheet activities and compile daily/periodic reports and analyses regarding funding and deposits for both internal stakeholders and relevant regulatory entities.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and reporting timelines.
  • Regularly engage in discussions with Senior Management, Risk Management, Internal Audit, and other essential parties.
  • Stay updated on regulatory and market guidance changes concerning liquidity management.
  • Work alongside Treasury Operations to enhance collateral reporting usability and streamline collateral management workflows.
  • Conduct market and peer analysis related to balance sheet and funding strategies.
Essential Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of experience in Corporate Treasury or a related financial field.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline (Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong understanding of financial institution balance sheets and their relationship with funding and liquidity risk management.
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, with a talent for articulating complex business challenges and detailed analyses.
  • A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow within a developing organization.
  • Familiarity with SQL and/or relational databases.
